Registration
There is none. This one is on the house.
If you want to send me something, my standard offer still stands.
That is $5.00 in cash, stamps, bus tokens, rubbles, pesos, or any-
thing of near-equivalent value. If you don't want to send me
anything, take a kid fishing or go feed the ducks.
Purpose
CheckFile was written to aid the sysop in managing TriBBS <tm>
FILES.LST. It is not intended to take away from Mark Goodwin's
FILEMAN. I prefer to manage my FILES.LST in a different manner.
CheckFile was compiled under Borland's Turbo Pascal v6.0. It
is coded to run on a color monitor. It you would like a version
compiled for monochrome display, contact the author.
CheckFile must be in the current file area or in your DOS path.
To run CheckFile:
CHKFILE <no parameters>
You will see the following menu:
-={ CheckFile v1.4 -- (c)1993 J Scott Hedspeth }=-
[A]dd file(s) [I]nfo about CheckFile
[L]ist FILES.LST [Q]uit to DOS
[R]emove "Uploaded by:"
[V]erify FILES.LST
Command:
[A]dd file(s) - you will be prompted for the name of the
file to be added. If it exist, you will be
given the opportunity to add a description.
The 40 character marker bar is for reference
only. There is no word wrap. Entering a blank
line will force the description "No description
given."
[L]ist FILES.LST - this will list the FILES.LST in the current
file area.
[R]emove "Uploaded by:" - this will rewrite your FILES.LST with
the "Uploaded by:" line removed.
[V]erify FILES.LST - this will check to see that the files listed
in FILES.LST actually exist in the current
file directory.
[I]nfo - provides general information regarding CheckFile.
[Q]uit to DOS - exit CheckFile and return to DOS.
